The Microsatellite Plugin relies on the Geneious Search Index to locate the Locus documents and this spinner indicates it is waiting for indexing to complete. For more information hover your mouse over the "Searching" message in the lower left corner, it may be the case that a corrupted document is preventing indexing in which case you will need to remove it.
