If you wish to export your plasmid maps as individual PDFs/image files, in Geneious Prime 2023.0.1 onwards, you can use the "Export individual sequences as images" workflow under the Workflow menu to do so.
To find and export your plasmids, click on the Search box at the top right of the Geneious Prime screen. Type the name of a specific folder or choose Local (as shown below) if you want to find all plasmids in your Local database folder.
Click More Options to open the advanced search options.
The Match option enables you to choose one or more fields as filters for your advanced search. These settings will be remembered until the search window is exited. To find all your plasmid maps choose Topology as the field type and circular from the drop down menu as your filter and then select Search. Note that subfolders are not included unless you select Include subfolders.
This will bring up all circular sequences, if you have circular sequences that are not plasmids that you want to exclude then use the [+] button to add more filters or alternatively only select the plasmids you wish to export.
With all the plasmids you want to export selected, go to the workflow menu and choose the Export individual sequences as images workflow.
If you have created a custom sequence view profile in the sequence viewer, this will be available here. Set the desired dimensions and format for your images and click OK. A popup window will appear allowing you to specify the location to save your images. Once the location is chosen, a progress window will be displayed while the individual image files are being created and saved in the specified location.
Once the workflow has finished running, all of your plasmid maps are saved as images in the specified location.
Please Note : If you have large number of plasmids to export, the workflow might take a while to finish running and export your plasmids.
